Enthusiasm is infectious.

The word “enthusiasm” is derived from the latin “enthūsiasmus” which means “possession by a god”. It is a divine energy that gives rise to action.
It is your enthusiasm that breathes life into a project. If you want someone else to be excited about something, you must first be excited yourself.

Without enthusiasm for your work, the quality of your results diminishes drastically. You’ve certainly completed a task you really didn’t want to do. It’s excruciating.

You lacked enthusiasm for the activity, and as a result, it feels like suffering.

Oftentimes, though, we account for our lack of positive results and enthusiasm by saying, “I’m the doing the best I can”.

This is a dangerous trap.

Telling yourself you’re doing the best you can when you’re clearly not happy with where you are, means you’re selling yourself short, and giving yourself an excuse for not reaching where you want to be.

You should never accept that where you are now is where you want to stay.
