Importance of Taking A Day Off
If I’m not working, I feel like I’m falling behind. A lot of my motivation comes from the fear that I’m not doing enough, or that I could have done more with my time.
The problem with that “always on” approach is, it can lead to burn out. Fast.
That’s why it’s important to take a day where you consciously give yourself permission to rest up.
Sunday is my day for that. I don’t work out. I don’t do a lot of thinking about projects. Instead, I sleep in, and mosey around the apartment in my pjs.
It’s important to have a relax day to let you mind chill out, and give your body a chance to recoup from all that exercising. (After all the inverted pushups I did yesterday, I need it.)
By giving yourself a designated relax day, you can then go back to work with your batteries recharged, and be excited about it.
So get out there and do nothing! Sometimes you need to be so motivated to relax.
